Gary Greet: “You don’t usually find a Maths graduate who enjoys writing – but you’ve found one here! I have written in a range of styles from poems in my spare time to a lengthy final year project. I have also recently started a blog offering tips and advice for a game. I have a passion for sports and could be described as a fitness freak!”
Jade Blackwell: “Hi, I’m Jade. I love blogging, writing and photography. In fact, anything to do with summer then I’m all about it! I have an adventurous streak which extends into my passions for fashion and beauty trends. I love the beach but living in England means I only get to experience it a few times a year, although it gives me plenty of time to prepare and summer shop for those weeks in the sun while its pouring rain at home!”
Alice Rose Brown: “Freelance copywriter and literature junkie. I love love love words. Reading, writing, being read to, anything to do with words and I’m there. I’ve recently graduated from the University of Chichester where I was studying English and Creative Writing. Not only did my time at university improve my writing and communication skills but it introduced me to an amazing variety of authors that have since become my firm favourites including Sarah Hall, Anne Bronte, and Hanif Kureishi. When I’m not busy writing wonderful words for other people you’ll usually find me with my nose stuck in a book, with my horse, or cooking and eating.”
Rebecca Devlin “Currently a Graphics and Communications design student at the University of Leeds, I am always looking for new creative outlets and innovative designs – I like to be shocked when it comes to all areas of design, whether it be fashion, advertising or everyday items. I’m a passionate and outgoing person and I’m not afraid of putting myself out there, particularly as I’m also a street dancer and love any opportunity to show what I can do. My biggest achievements so far include getting the chance to perform at Leeds Festival, and a part in choreographing and performing for a short student film, and I’m hoping to push myself so much further in both design and dance in the future so watch this space.”
Sophie Mewitt: “I am a student currently studying a BA in advertising at Southampton Solent, but what I call home is a little town called Eastbourne; therefore I have always been a stone’s throw away from the sea. My hobbies include reading, writing and shopping, alongside drinking enormous amounts of tea. ”
Nadine Pernaul: “I am currently a student at university and I do a joint honors course of Sociology and Social Science with English Language and Communications, of which I am in my final year. I am 21 years old and I currently work for a fashion retailer part time, so I do have a very good idea of what the current trends are and I’d like to think my own personal style is one which stands out. I am interested in many things such as socializing, fashion, reading and a variety of sporting activities. ”
Stacey Allert: “A Sydney based Mum of two, I fuel my creative engine by writing. I have a blog that focuses on Hand Made and Pre Loved items and when I find something unique that is crafted by hand, then this is where I share it.
My weakness for fashion is a money and a time trap – both of which I am always lacking in. My favourite days are the ones that begin with blue skies, and if I can have the radio on playing new music from waking ’til sleep, I’d consider it a perfect one.
My philosophy is simple; “Live What You Love” – which is easy when you love fresh flowers and a good bottle of rose`.
Joanne Wadley: “Hi, I’m Joanne, I graduated top of my class at UCA and have since worked on a variety of Advertising and Branding projects. I am currently juggling copywriting with being a stay at home mother. I have a very creative mind and a passion for copywriting and branding. In my leisure time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing games and partaking in sports and yoga. ”
Samantha Waite: “A Marketing graduate with a passion for chasing the sun. I’m fond of brunches and cocktails and can usually be found at vintage markets. I own more bikinis than shoes and can’t live without my SPF30″
Claire Cooper: “Recently graduated from Melbourne University with a BA in Media and Communications. I am a very happy little Melbournite now, but grew up in the beautiful beachside town of Byron Bay, and before that teeny tiny Norfolk Island. I’ve lived a stones throw from the beach my whole life and miss it terribly, so you will regularly find me jumping into freezing Victorian waters for fun. I speak passable Spanish, love traveling, beach volleyball, fashion, reading and writing, and experiencing different cultures. I am also an advocate for health and active lifestyles, and have the bronze cross for Royal Life Saving.”
Emma Russon: “I’m an aspiring writer who graduated in 2012 with a 2:1 in English with Creative Writing. I’m currently editing the first draft of my novel – the first book of an adventure/fantasy trilogy aimed at 12-14 year olds. I’ve loved writing since I was old enough to realise books were actually written by people, instead of appearing out of thin air, and of course, when I found this out, I wanted to make up stories for a living. I’m a creative person in general; as well as writing, I like arts and crafts, especially card-making. I also have a keen interest in history and film.”
Laura Kemp: “I am currently a student reading for an MA in English Literary Studies at Durham University, and I have a passion for writing and enjoy using it as an outlet for my creativity. In my own time I love travelling, spending time with my family and friends, shopping, and can think of no better way to spend a day than relaxing on a gorgeous beach in the hot sunshine with a cocktail!”
Hannah Tyrell: “Born and raised in the UK, my life revolves primarily around writing, fashion and the Arts. Currently studying English and Fine Art: Painting and Drawing at the University of Northampton, most of my days are frequently in pursuit of one artistic expression or another; creative writing, blogging, reading, styling, painting, photography, the theatre, and so on. I own more summer dress than the average high-street store, love nothing more than a good book teamed with an evening cocktail and can often be found rummaged the second-hand shops for vintage gems.”
